The structure of our business today includes two separate entities.
Cummins Marine, a Division of Cummins Incorporated, focuses on marine
engine applications above 15 liters of displacement. This includes
applications for propulsion power, auxiliary power, gensets and
generator drive
engines. Typically, these engines are applied in "workboats"
or any vessel that "works" or earns revenue. This market
segment is commonly referred to as "commercial."
Cummins MerCruiser Diesel, the newly formed joint
venture between Cummins Marine and Mercury MerCruiser, focuses on
marine engine applications below 15 liters of displacement for yachts,
military craft, sport fishing boats, trawlers and commercial vessels.
Both Cummins Marine and Cummins MerCruiser Diesel are located in
Charleston, South Carolina, USA.
