Although 2010 is a major emissions change, Cummins will still exceed customers' expectations with the new engines. The 07 emissions engines will still be available through the end of 2009 at major OEMs.
EPA 07 ISX Cummins is meeting the 2007 emissions standards with a totally integrated system from air intake to exhaust aftertreatment. It includes our proven cooled-EGR subsystem, an electrically actuated VG Turbo, a proprietary Cummins Particulate Filter and a crankcase ventilation system with a coalescing filter - all managed by a single Electronic Control Module. Every element has been designed and manufactured to optimize performance and minimize maintenance. Ratings range from 385-600 hp. Design features include Dual Overhead Camshafts (DOHC) and the standard Intebrake™ system* which delivers up to 600 braking horsepower. Several engine features are available to help you improve mpg further such as Load-Based Speed Control and Gear-Down Protection. It's no wonder the ISX is the fuel economy leader. EPA 07 ISM The 2007 ISM has been designed and manufactured by Cummins to work as a single unit, delivering optimum performance with a minimum of maintenance. Ratings range from 280-410 hp. Cummins ISL is the ideal choice for a broad range of trucks from regional LTL carriers with daycabs, to dump trucks, refuse haulers and mixers. Its performance coupled with weight savings yield a package that is unbeatable. A new High Pressure Commons Rail (HPCR) fuel system combined with a patented Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VG Turbo) by Holset delivers outstanding performance. The ISL has the highest torque offering in its class, yet it has a lighter installed weight than competitive engines. Performance To Get Down The Road. When it comes to power, performance and operating efficiencies, the ISL has it all. Its HPCR fuel system maintains high injection pressures regardless of engine speed for outstanding performance. The VG Turbo increases both acceleration performance and stopping power when used in conjunction with the optional compression brake. Since the ISL is among the leaders in low-weight and high HP, its power-to-weight ratio is exceptional.
